TRUEPRAISE Luke2:13-14

In Africa, Praise is a ritual towards a deity and man, done by music especially with drums and percussions, for worship, healing and social ceremonies but in God’s kingdom, Praise is generally practiced as singing, dancing, making music and jubilation towards God for adoration as the only duty of man. This is done heartily from the mouth but most times not according to the full understanding of it. Half-truth is being done however; absolute truth is what the Lord requires from man Deuteronomy 10:12, Psalm 111:10. He is the Lord of all; it is either He is this or not the Lord at all. He will never share His glory with anyone.

It is absolutely possible to praise with the lips and not from the heart even though the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart. Also, it’s very plausible to know the how of an activity but denies its essence Isaiah29:13. Men nowadays do praise God from the lips while their heart is far from Him. Whatever a man exults in his heart per time or all the time is what he praises whenever he chooses to honour God in disguise. Man judges by appearance while God sees the heart.

“For the word I send shall not return to me VOID isaiah55:10-11” is the proof that God expects the word He speaks to return to Him transformed. Only praise goes back to God as an offering from all creations and must be in the form He desires. To praise is to receive and fulfill the word. Praise is the summation of thanksgiving, worship and total commitment. The Hebrew word for thanksgiving is charisma meaning offering grace to God. God seeks the true worshippers who do in Spirit and in truth. And His word is Spirit and truth.

King David, the great psalmist was a man that was committed to the word to the point that he foretold the future thus, praising God reveals the future. The word is Jesus and the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. All prophecies foretell about Jesus so when we praise, we honour God with His word. It takes God to praise God. No one praises a man he does not know in fact; it takes deep research to know a man in order to please him. It is impossible to please God without intimacy with Him which is TRUEPRAISE born out of deep understanding of His word.

Here is the great revelation that establishes this truth: Luke2:13-14. Jesus who is the word of God was revealed by the angels praising, as TRUEPRAISE was defined.

Ø Glory to God in the Highest

Ø And on earth PEACE, goodwill to all men

Adoration to God in the Highest is hinged on goodwill towards all men which is peace on earth. Jesus is the prince of peace, God the King of Salem, Salem the city of PEACE. The reconciliation of all things to God is peace which ONLY Jesus could do in Christ. PEACE on earth is a deep relationship with the Father in Christ alone Colossian1:19, 2:9

Intimacy with Christ is the TRUEPRAISE.
